Great White Bear Tours shuttle driver Lindsey Bell took this rugged portrayal of the phenomenal Churchill northern lights with her last Natural Habitat Adventures group of the season. Lindsey worked tirelessly all season to insure Nat Hab travelers and their leaders had the most exciting and rewarding northern experiences of their lives. We look forward to our next adventures in the not so far off Churchill Northern Summer trips. Enjoy!

Polar Bears of Churchill

Thinking about the polar bear season in Churchill on this warm day in Colorado. Here are some of my favorite polar bear images from the years to get you all excited about next fall in Churchill! Before we know it polar bears will begin to congregate in Churchill and soon the temperatures will bring snow to the tundra. What a time to visit these amazing creatures of the north!

Churchill Aurora Images – Andre Brandt

Photographer Andre Brandt continues to find new possibilities for capturing the alluring northern lights of Churchill and the surrounding region! We are constantly amazed at the diversity Andre brings to his photography and different viewpoints from which northern lights, especially, are presented to the world. It takes hard work, patience, and perseverance to continue to find new shots of the aurora borealis of the north! Enjoy.

Churchill Video of the Week – Churchill Summer Birding

Birding and Churchill go hand in hand! If you have ever been to Churchill in the spring or summer you must like birds to some extent. Churchill boasts nearly 200 species of mostly migratory birds during these seasons and many of these are “lifers” for serious bird enthusiasts. This video by Sparky Stensaas (thesparkygroup@gmail.com.) from a recent trip to Churchill highlights some of the incredible avian species even a casual birder can see while exploring the diverse landscape of Churchill! Natural Habitat Adventures guide Bonnie Chartier is one of the authorities on Churchill birding. You might see her in the willows if you venture to Churchill at some point.
