Another banner northern lights season is finishing up this week as Natural Habitat Adventure’s last groups are in Churchill. These two sensational aurora shots are two beauties that capture the incredible lights above the Hudson Bay! Features on the ground always accentuate the greenish glow in the northern sky and these two by local photographers Dorota Walkoski and Alex de Vries – Magnifico really raise the level of photo composition around northern lights. Churchill and the Hudson Bay region is experiencing some good ole northern Arctic cold these days. However, the aurora borealis and even brighter than ever due to high auroral sun spot activity. The Aurora Domes and the Aurora Pod with their comfortable warm controlled climate are crucial to the northern lights viewing experience for Natural Habitat Adventures travelers these days! Caribou, snow geese and Canada geese fill the landscape and feed on the bounty which the north provides this time of year! Bountiful Churchill summer will be upon us soon and avid explorers will flock to town for birding excursions, beluga whale charters and tundra exploring in search of fox, polar bears, Arctic hare and even wolves.
