Here are some follow – up images to the one published a few days ago. Katie de Meulles took these incredible shots last week along the Precambrian shield in Churchill. It’s pretty unusual to capture a red fox family like this appearing to be inquisitive with the photographer being present. We are sure happy that they hung around for a look.These are some of the best red fox shots we’ve seen in awhile.
So far this spring leading into the Churchill Arctic summer the wildlife has been better than ever we can remember here. Looking forward to another summer full of surprises in Churchill!

The foxes we have been seeing throughout this year have displayed wildly vibrant color in their coats. Arctic summer in Churchill provides incredible chances to view both red and Arctic foxes in their natural habitat. Summer wildlife in Churchill abounds out along the tundra and in the cool Hudson Bay waters and Churchill River.

This fantastic shot was taken by Rhonda Reid in Churchill. Black bears have been moving farther and farther north as the climate seems to change rapidly. It’s always a thrill to see the polar bear’s cousin in the rugged Churchill region!
An amazing shot of the majestic snowy owl in Churchill by Katie de Meulles. These beautiful birds can be seen almost anytime of the year though they seem to go through cycles in numbers depending on the rodent populations. If we are lucky we will have good numbers of snowy owls this coming Churchill Arctic Summer!
